We wanted to commence the work of our professional theatre company with an internationally renowned contemporary play, Death and the Maiden, that would touch on a number of social issues that all of us deal with, while at the same time entertain and get our audiences to participate and connect with a novel and unique theatrical experience.

 

We also chose Death and the Maiden due to its core subject of fascism and political retention of people’s freedom. As artists we feel it is important to create opportunities to stimulate our audiences’ minds and ignite reflections on topics that affect us on a daily basis such as human rights, equality and freedom of expression.

 

With a distinctive, diverse use of space, tríada aims to create new experiences for our audiences, in a live, almost cinematic approach, while embracing  the fascinating energy of theatre. In this way every performance is different, unique.
